Rainy Saturday

It's a rainy Satuday morning here, and we were planning to go ice skating with a groupon we've had for awhile. However, there are no public skating sessions today, so unfortunately we had to bail on that plan. But, seeing as it's a rainy day, and we got a ton of rain last night, the boys remembered that we have a PERFECT yard for playing outside when it's wet! Thus, in an hour or so we'll have 4 very wet and probably chilly boys come inside and huddle around the fire:) It reminds me of fun I had when I was a kid, playing in streams and making dams, floating boats, etc. It's so fun for me to look out the back window and see the boys all playing together, the bigger ones helping the smaller, and just having fun outside.
When I have time to sit back and reflect on this home that God led us to, and the journey He's taken us on, some parts of a plan that has been really painful make sense. Our old house sold in 9 days, and we were completely free to spend a month in Canada grieving the loss of my mom with our family. The stress of not finding a house, and having to wait on God, has led us to the perfect home for our family, in His time. When God gives us the ability to see His plan in our lives, it's really a gift to remind us that he cares about our EVERY need. What an amazing God we serve!
