Today we celebrated Thad's 8th birthday with a party where we invited a bunch of his friends! They all brought their swimming suits and we played in the little pool, had a water war with new water guns, and of course played in the woods/creek too! The kids had a blast, so it was a successful friend-party! Too bad they were all so excited that they really didn't eat much, only eating about 2 of the 4 pizzas that we bought!
Then I also have to note that last night we had a really fun visit with my cousin Hollie and her husband Jon, and their 7 year old twins Mason and Liam. They stopped in on their way to KC for a conference for Jon, and we had a great time visiting with them and, once it was a bit cooler out, playing outside on the zip line and the 4 wheeler! We don't get many visits from our Canadian family, so this was a VERY special treat, thanks for coming! This is hopefully putting some pressure on the rest of the Canadian relatives to make a trip down here someday!
