Since we bought our house last August, we have planned to put the same hardwood down on the stairs going to our upper level, so we bought extra wood for this purpose. It's been almost a year now, and I'm finally getting around to putting it in! It was quite a process, with having to replace all the base stair treads first, and then teach myself how to put hardwood down on the stairs. After one day of removal of old stuff, and one day of installing the new, we have all but 4 of our stairs looking much nicer than the mdf and osb (raw wood, for the non-construction speaker)! We also finally got around to putting down the carpet in the basement, and so finally put up the rope ladder, and had fun playing and doing routines to earn pennies, a favorite activity in our old house!
Another picture is of the boys and a friend at the Daniel Boone home, which Thad chose to do as a birthday activity! He even got himself a cap gun with birthday money from Grandpa Bailey, which is taller than he is! I'll have to get a picture of that for the blog one of these days!
As you can tell, it's been a busy summer for us so far, with lots of projects to do and trying to throw some fun in as well! We hope your summer has been eventful and fun as well!
