Random Pictures and Thoughts

So it's been a couple weeks again, and I wanted to share some of the happenings around our house. Just last week we celebrated the Year of the Ox, Chinese New Year 4047 or something like that. It was fun to all try to eat with chopsticks and make little lantern decorations! We've been busy with life, as usual, and trying to examine different areas of our lives to see what is necessary and what we can do without. Life just gets so busy, and we really want to make sure we're doing what's truly important with our family. Trying to spend more time at home has become more important to us, and doing things to bond more as a "family." These are the special times we want our boys to remember as they grow and eventually leave our home and spread their wings and take off!

Also, in way of remembrance, my little brother turned 28 on the 10th, and so I had to put a plug in for Garrett, or "Uncle John Buckerton" as my boys know him. He's totally grabbed their hearts and admiration with his playful spirit, imagination, and love for playing with each of them. I'm so glad to have brothers that my boys can look up to and get excited about spending time with! Here's to you, G - love, we in STL love and miss you! Happy Birthday!

And finally, we've had some gorgeous days here lately, and the boys wanted my help in building a fort in the woods, so we got to work putting tree branches leaned over and stuff. It was fun, and they decided to all have lunch out there, which made for a little "date" for Rhonda and I while the boys ate by themselves! Imagine, all 4 can play without adult supervision for brief periods finally! Life is good!
We sure miss you all, family in Canada and across the States, as well as friends all over the world (who am I kidding, none of our overseas friends read this...). Hey, check out my 7th grade guidance blog (in the blog list)if you get a minute, at least you'll see some of the music my kids at school are into!
